Betterdays Cancer Care - is a UK African Caribbean breast cancer organisation. We offer information and practical support for breast cancer sufferers or women who have breast health concerns.
Betterdays Cancer Care aims - To reach out to African Caribbean women and provide awareness and specific help for sufferers by the provision of good quality information to empower patients to make choices about their treatment.
Betterdays aims - To provide a service to a currently unrepresented section of society, black and asian women. It seems that cultural differances and outlooks often means that women in the ethnic area of society are missing out on the communication and education of breast cancer awareness.
Betterdays aims - To promote and develop Breast awareness for the BME community in order to promote integration and inclusion and reduce the Inequalities and isolation of sufferers, within a social, informative, celebratory, multicultrual setting therefore enhance the quality of life.
To achieve the above, Betterdays Cancer care provides a range of services and activities for the BME community. Our culturally diverse group provides specialised services as follows.
- Care and support services that promote general well being and rehabilitation of Asian, African and Caribbean people within a caring, stimulating and friendly enviroment.
